Clean Energy and Climate: Key Challenges for the Biden Administration

Lynn Orr is the Keleen and Carlton Beal Professor Emeritus, Department of Energy Resources Engineering at Stanford University.  He served as Under Secretary for Science and Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy from 2014 to 2017.  A faculty member at Stanford since 1985, he served as Dean of the School of Earth Sciences, as Director of the Global Climate and Energy Project, and as Director of the Precourt Institute for Energy.  He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. from Stanford University, both in Chemical Engineering.  He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, the Board of Directors of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, and the Board of Directors of the ClimateWorks Foundation.
