Persuading and being Persuaded: Insights from Speech & Debate

Kyle Hietala holds one Diamond from the National Speech & Debate Association, one of the youngest coaches in the nation to attain the honor. He was a United States Presidential Scholar and studied Cognitive Science at Yale University, where he was an active member of the #1 ranked Yale Debate Association, where he won the North American (NorthAms) Debate Championship in 2017. Passionate about education, Kyle began his career as a Teach For America Corps Member, and previously coached at the St. Luke’s School, The Spence School, and Sidwell Friends School. He is also the Founder of Zero To Narrative, a startup marketing agency, which helps mission-driven startups & non-profits to tell compelling stories.
